Hallo from Germany!
I was going to wait to write our first post until we were able to post pictures with it, but it seems that some people are getting a little impatient so I figured I would inform about a few things, and clear a few things up.
First of all, for all of you on Facebook: We know, you want us to post pictures!! We would love to, but there is something getting in our way. Our home interenet is still having problems. Apparently it IS activated now, but we are unable to get a router until they get more in stock. I am going to start investigating other places to try and get a moden, but until then no pictures. Believe me, AS SOON as we get the internet set up at home, there will be pictures posted. I still have to post pictures from the wedding for that matter haha. But anyway, please no more pressure. We get it. You want to see what it's like over here, and we definitely want to show you. But all in due time :)

This is our P.O. Box. Jake prefers that everyone send us stuff there instead of our home address, so that it is only handled through the American Postal service. If you sent anything to our home address it would be handled through the German Postal service, and it might cost you more to ship stuff.
If you want to send us something but don't know what, there is definitely a growing list of things we like/need that they don't sell here (or at least not that we've found yet):

Mostly we would LOVE letters to hear about how everyone is! I'm going to save the stories about the fun places we have gone so far for a time when I can post pictures with it. But right now, Jake is in the field on some "training" exercise. a.k.a. Other people are training and they need guys like Jake around in case their Helicopters break, but mostly they just sit around doing nothing. (I'm not bitter in the slightest) He's been gone for a week and a half already, and has another week and a half to go before he can come home. Then he'll get to be home for around a week and a half and then leave for another 2-3 weeks on a Gunnery Training Exercise. For this one the entire Battalion is going!! Hopefully that one will be more productive than this one.
Prayer Requests:
- That Duke stops biting on everything and everyone, and that he continues on his good behavior and potty training
- That Jake is given more jobs to do, so as to not only use his time more efficiently but to also give him some great learning experiences
-That I stay productive during the time he is away, and that I continue reaching out to the new friendships I have made, and make new ones as well.
Praises:
- That Duke is actually sleeping through the night now, and has EXTREMELY reduced the amount he's peeing in the house
- That Jake has stayed safe during the time he's been away
- That I have made new friends, and am beginning to get more comfortable with our surrounding area and driving in it.
The requests and praises area is a section I hope to keep up at the end of each blog. So keep your eye out for it!
